Recent Review of the Content Crooner Distribution Service
latest by Mike
It’s not polite to toot your own horn most of the time. We try to keep that in mind here at Content Crooner. If anything, we watch our p’s and q’s and only talk about things we can deliver on today. When you get down to it, that’s all any of us really have to work with anyway.
I’m not discounting the need for planning a future, not at all. That only makes good sense. But one thing that history has proved over and over again is that all tomorrows are the direct results of actions taken today. Content Crooner has no intention of losing sight of that. We want to provide the best service we possibly can, and we will.
Do we have ideas for some improvements around here? You bet we do. But first things first. There’s no need to start laying shingles on a roof before the walls are framed. It doesn’t make much sense to pick out furniture before the plumbing is even installed. All of those things are important but not nearly so as a foundation that has set-up firm and level. We won’t rush to achieve that and risk a silly mistake that throws everything after out of kilter and off plumb.
That is where we are with Content Crooner. Our foundation is poured and in the process of being trued-up. A few shims here, a nail there, and we’ll move on to sheeting out the first floor and framing out the walls next. There’s not much need to worry beyond that right now. To do so only assures a loss of focus on what must be done today.
We truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we get our foundation true and level. It guarantees that the groundwork is laid for a quality content distribution service for years to come. Feedback in the blog and through your support tickets has helped isolate problems quickly and get repairs initiated.
Thanks to everyone who has offered a supporting hand. Your input is invaluable.
It’s nice to hear others say nice things about you. It lets you know you’re on the right track and makes you try even harder to do better job. The folks here at Content Crooner are no different than anyone else in this way.
I don’t know the guy that wrote this. I have not looked to see if he is one of our authors or affiliates; I would assume he is probably one or both, maybe neither. Either way, it’s nice to hear some encouragement come out of the past hectic week. (If I didn’t know better, I would swear it had five Mondays in it.)
At any rate, thanks for the thumbs-up, Johnny. We’ll do our part to live up to your expectations of us: Content Crooner For SEO Results
Look forward to more feedback from you guys. Talk soon.
Regards,
Mike Lawson

Hey Sue,
Sorry for the delay and the issue is being worked on to fix the "What can I do" problem. We thought we had it fixed globally, but it appears to be popping up here and there in isolated instances (and unfortunately, yours happened to be one of them.)
I went in your account and looked at the articles and fixed several things I knew right off the bat would cause an auto-rejection by the review software. I re-submitted your pieces for review and they are in the review queue at the moment.
I noted several problems there and will address them in and some other common problem in my next blog post.
In the mean time, please go to the support desk and let them know that this problem exists on your account. I can't fix system things from the blog, only the tech team has access to those parts of the system.
It's taking a bit longer to bring this all on line than had been hoped, but know that it is being addressed and you have been heard.
Mike
Hi
Do you know when the system will start advising the issues with rejected articles? I've got two articles sitting there with issues but the section that should explain the issue is blank. I haven't been able to distribute any articles since the new system went live.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sue
Scott,
Before I go into any of this any further, let me explain my position here:
I was not a hired employee of Article Marketer and am not a hired employee of Content Crooner. I am a freelance copywriter and marketing consultant that may be retained for those services on the open market. That is the capacity of my past and current association with both entities. They outsourced these tasks to my company.
I am bound by confidentiality to limit my disclosures to this:
Article Marketer management decided to break the organization into two new but separate content distribution companies. Senior partners cite different visions for the future as grounds for this action.
Existing accounts will be equally divided between the two new operations at the onset of this conversion process. You will be given a choice as to which service
you desire to go with and you will be moved accordingly.
Your account and all your archived and submitted articles are just fine. Their distribution shouldn't
experience more than a hiccup (if even that) as the switch is made to the two new entities.
That being said, I won't attempt to sway your decision either way. To do so wouldn't be ethical on my part nor would it hold much water as it would obviously be biased.
My suggestion is this:
1-Weigh what your content distributions needs are and compare those to both companies and find the best match before making a final decision.
2-Watch both companies and see which one delivers on their promises best and levy that into your final decision.
3-Research what others are saying and talk with fellow marketers in forums and on blogs and such – be informed.
4-More than anything else, I would tend to go with my gut feeling if I were in a similar situation. You are ultimately the one who will have to live with the decision.
I doubt that has been much help, but it's the best I can offer. Neither company can give you a 100% guarantee that your decision is the right one for your situation. Only Scott can do that.
Mike
Hi Mike,
Thank you for answering my question about the quarterly plan I was on at Article Marketer.
I still feel a little in the dark here. There has been no real explanation of what happened and how the alternatives we are presented with came about.
It appears there may have been some differences of opinion as to how Article Marketer should go forward and that was the basis for the new setup.
I am just guessing here based on the little bit I can interpolate from information garnered from both new article sites.
It would really be helpful to get a better idea of how the two sites came about. Is there a fundemental difference between the two new sites? Are there philiosophical differences that we should know about? Are there features that this site has that the other will not?
What criteria should we look at or can we look at in deciding which way to go.
I know you are in the midst of a difficult transition and I do appreciate the effort to afford us great new alternatives.
I also understand that internal situations at AM are not necesarily something you may want to talk about or are not necesarily something we are entitled to.
I guess I just want to make sure I am going to continue with what I feel will be the best way for me to distribute my articles. I am sure others may have the same questions.
Thanks for any information you can enlighten us with.
